If you're a skier or snowboarder – New Hampshire offers wonderful powder and the quaint lovely atmosphere of New England all wrapped up in a lovely cozy package. New Hampshire is part of the New England region. It is bounded by Quebec, Canada to the north and northwest; Maine and the Atlantic Ocean to the east; Massachusetts to the south; and Vermont to the west.

The White Mountains range in New Hampshire spans the north-central portion of the state, with Mount Washington being the tallest in the northeastern U.S., and other mountains like Mount Madison and Mount Adams surrounding it.

New Hampshire conjures up images of snow capped trees and small New England style villages similar to that of Vermont and for the most part this is correct. It is a romantic playground and one that is easily accessible due to its superb location on the eastern seaboard.

Visit the quaint shops and galleries, scenic state parks and historic sites, the tallest mountains in the Northeast, three National Scenic Byways, and traditional festivals and open-air markets. There is so much to see in New Hampshire this winter, you'll want to visit again and again.

New Hampshire also offers a wide and diverse range of alternatives to skiing: night tubing, snowshoeing, sleigh rides, snowmobiling, ice skating and all kinds of snow toys which can be hired at the ski areas, ice fishing, ice climbing and much, much more.
