True Surfing Experience

We focus on surfing during this moderate package, it mirrors the luxury African Surfing Experience but is with budget orientated accommodation and not such glamourous meals and we throw in a couple of other adventures to keep you frothing! We cater for beginner surfers all the way through to the experienced, no matter what your skill level we’ll find you the best wave.

On surfing days if for any reason conditions are unfavourable we have an activities list with other adventure options. This tour makes use of only one location that is situated centrally in the province of KwaZulu-Natal making the perfect base to explore from.

Your experienced Pure Vacations guides will use their local African knowledge to ensure that you get to surf the best waves available and see the quality of the nature activities that surrounds this area.

We collect you from Durban airport and transfer you to your accommodation where you will chill and settle into your new lifestyle for the next 7 days.

Day 1 to Day 5 will be Vulamanzi surf camp. This rustic accommodation, situated a stones throw from the infamous Happies Point is all a surfer could need. Sleep in elevated wooden bungalows, with a look out tower on your doorstep for the early morning surf check!

During Day 2 and 3 you will explore the many surfing point breaks along the coast whilst relaxing and getting in to the South African grove.

On Day 4 you will have a Surf check in the morning, to freshen you up for the afternoon experience when we will take you on a trip to Oribi gorge to brave the highest bridge swing in the world.

Day 5 we give you a surf in the morning. In the afternoon we take you to Gateway Shopping Centre to ride the D-Rex or flow rider. The only free-standing wave in the world that breaks both left and right. Also you will have a chance to do some shopping and experience some of Durban’s exciting night life later on.

Day 6 you get to have have one last surf on the south coast before heading inland to the Tugela River Basin. We will transfer you by four wheel drive over two mountains and onto the banks of the Tugela River. This is an experience you’ll never forget! You will stay the night in Zingela lodge.

Day 7 we go in search of the "BIG 5" to the Umfolozi game reserve - A truly amazing day that will live with you forever as you com eface to face with lions and others. Your last night will be at the Zingela lodge.

Day 8 we transfer you back to Durban for your interantional flight home. This is a surf experience to remember for ever, it offers amazing surfing, with great fun of the wild!
