Hard Rock International has officially commenced construction on its latest European venture, the Hard Rock Hotel Malta, set to welcome guests in 2026.
This 394-room hotel will be a highlight of a broader €300 million mixed-use development in St George’s Bay. The expansive development will feature a 20,000 sqm shopping mall, luxury residences, a private members club, and an array of 12 restaurants and bars, including a Hard Rock Cafe. Guests will also enjoy access to a supermarket, fitness centre, spa, event spaces, and a beach lido.
Developer db Group has ensured the hotel will seamlessly blend modern amenities with historic charm, “meticulously preserving and integrating the architecture of the original 1860 British military accommodation quarters.” Most rooms will offer balconies with stunning views of the Mediterranean.
While Hard Rock International experienced the rebranding of some high-profile properties last year, including the 900-room Hard Rock Hotel London and Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American, the upcoming Malta property reaffirms the brand’s strong presence and growth in Europe.
