Austrian and Lufthansa Airlines are trialling a new electronic inflight shopping platform to allow shopping to continue while flying. A press statement from the Lufthansa Group said that Covid19 had truly restricted in-flight services and as a result, the new platform was being introduced using flynet onboard internet. The service is currently available on flights within Europe but they hope to expand on this soon. Passengers order and pay using the platform, and then have their purchases delivered to a chosen address.
