Turkish Airlines has introduced its new business class suite at the Farnborough Airshow, set to feature on the airline’s transcontinental flights. The Crystal Business Class suite offers enhanced comfort and privacy, featuring seats with an adjustable door and privacy panel. The suite boasts an increased seat width of 23 inches, more footwell space, and direct aisle access for all passengers.
The suite’s design incorporates lighter and warmer colours, aligning with the airline’s ‘Flow’ brand identity, and includes marble-style tables and rose gold finishes.
The suite retains features from the previous business-class product, such as adjustable ambient and reading lights, universal power outlets, USB-C charging units, wireless charging, a 22-inch IFE screen with a noise-cancelling audio jack, an adjustable mirror, and a cushioned seatback.
Turkish Airlines plans to install new seats on its A350s, which are currently on order, and retrofit them to its fleet of Boeing 777 aircraft. The seats, developed by the airline’s subsidiary, TCI Aircraft Interiors, use plush leather and fabrics sourced from Turkey.
Prof. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee, stated:
“Our new Crystal Business Class suite marks a new chapter in long-haul luxury travel, enhancing comfort and privacy across our global network. This specially designed suite will complement our award-winning inflight dining options, ensuring an unparalleled experience for our guests above the clouds.”
This announcement follows the airline’s recent plans to offer free unlimited WiFi across its entire fleet by the end of 2025. Turkish Airlines aims to retrofit its existing fleet and equip new aircraft with the latest inflight connectivity technologies to meet passengers’ digital consumption expectations.
The airline has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TCI Aircraft Interiors and Turksat and is actively negotiating with local and international suppliers to achieve this goal.
